and is managed by staff of the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit (CSIU),
an educational service agency established by and existing under Article IX‑A
of the Pennsylvania Public School Code of 1949, as amended, 24 P.S. §§9‑951
et seq. PEPPM allows you to shop for and buy tens of thousands of items
from hundreds of product lines that are all bid discounted and bid
protected. You can use the resources of electronic procurement, powered by
Epylon Corporation, to place your orders online. Or, using more conventional
methods, you can fax a paper purchase order to our toll-free fax service at
(800) 636-3779. PEPPM purchases are legally protected under the bid
laws of Pennsylvania and participating states, where applicable.
PEPPM is designed to
reduce the time and effort between the decision to buy and the receipt of
the products. By centralizing the bid process, time and money are saved by
schools and agencies not having to conduct their own bids. By enabling
online shopping and ordering with Epylon and toll free fax for paper
purchase orders, time and money are saved on the procurement process. And,
by providing dynamic competitive pricing achieved by leveraging national
volumes, money is also saved on the prices. PEPPM has been in existence
since 1982, and over $2.0 billion in purchases have been made through the
program.
