Q: Can I make the subcategories the mfg sku?

A: The bidder can create whatever types of categories you’d like as long as they are identifiable and "well-described category of Products within the Product Line category" (see section VIII.4 Variable Percentage Formulas of the terms and conditions). However, please keep in mind the provision of the terms and conditions about new products that can be added within a Product line, section VIII.10 New Product Pricing:

“The Bidder’s quoted pricing formulas will also apply to any new Products created, invented, introduced, and made available through PEPPM during the Contract period. New Products and associated supplies to be added must be priced according to the original bid discount or markup pricing structure.”

Using manufacture SKUs as subcategories may pigeon-hole your products and not allow you to add any new products that might be added to your Product Line during the term of the contract.

Q: I received an invite to participate in this bid and in reviewing what we are able to provide is this one line item below as we are a reseller/partner, however it doesn’t give much information on qty/specs/etc… Is this just to provide overall options/pricing to all members if we win?  And as members need anything, then we would be notified specifically by them for orders?

A: Your bid submission should include the overall options/pricing of all products under any of the specified brands (Product Line). Please see the following sections within the terms and conditions:

  •  VIII. Pricing Specifications
  •  VI.1       Product Lines Sought
  • VIII.6     PEPPM Pricing Template

Q: What is the location for this Bid?

A: See Section III Legal Authority and Eligible Buying Agencies of the terms and conditions. At a minimum, an Awarded Vendor must serve LEAs in Pennsylvania. At its option as designated on its State Selection Form, an Awarded Vendor may choose to serve LEAs in other states.

Q: How do I submit a bid? Do I just need a letter of authorization? Are the references for the manufacurer or reseller?

A: The bidder will need to complete the entire eBid found in the Epylon.com system. Please review the information about the bid submission process found on Bid information page of the PEPPM website. Especially the recorded Prebid meeting, Vendor's Guide to eBid, and Tips for filling out the Bid Pricing template. Additionally, a Bid Checklist For Vendors is included as a "Required Document" within the eBid for reference.

Additionally, review the Product Line Bid Terms and Conditions which includes a section specifically on the “IX. Bid Procedures and Directions” and “VI.8 Proof of Supply”.

Vendor Reference Forms must be completed for the company submitting the bid (section V.27).
